One of our Instructors who is up for any dive and ready to be the mentor and underwater supervisor for your PADI Discover Local Scuba Diving Experience started diving 12 years ago and did his open water certification at Beach 8th and since then that location has always held a special place for him. Though the visibility can be “iffy” the life that can be seen there during the warmer months and specially at night is something not to be missed.
Angel enjoys any type of diving, be it wrecks or reefs, and any excuse to get wet is a good one. Right now he is a volunteer at the NY Aquarium and go there every other week to help maintain the tanks. At the Aquarium they routinely dive with penguins and Caribbean fish and it is a great way to help out the community as well as keeping active year round.

His wife Christine, a Divemaster at Swim and Scuba, teams up with Angel to make a great teaching team. They have traveled to Bonaire, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Florida Keys, Spain, Belize, and Honduras to dive. They also take advantage of the many local opportunities to dive such as Beach 8th, Dutch Springs in Pennsylvania, and Ponquogue Bridge. There is nothing more enjoyable to them than to see the expression on a student’s face the first time they get to breathe underwater.

Angel has a great time assisting with classes and does so as much as he can.  Angel encourages anyone and everyone he knows to come and join us and see for themselves all the wonders that lie beneath the surface both locally and abroad.
