Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. Swim and Scuba will offer this program in our pool. You can try scuba close to home. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
To sign up for this PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, children must be 10-15 years old and have a parent willing to dive with them during the class (the Parent must also take the course -or be a certified diver- and be in the water with the child). If you are 16-18 you may sign up with parental consent but dive alone. All adults (18 and over) may sign up by themselves. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health, fill out the required paperwork and take the course review class. For a small fee you can buy a Discover Scuba Diving guidebook and if you are interested you may sign up for a full scuba course.
